Saved By Massachusetts?
Posted by: | CommentsAll I can say is WOW – people all over this country are really hacked off. For months I have been hearing a searing anger in people about the direction being taken by the national Democrats. However, I live in Texas which is one of the last bastions of common sense in large numbers. The Massachusetts Senatorial election reflects that Texas ain’t the only place people are mad!
Based on the response from Obama, Pelosi and other Democrat leaders today, it’s pretty clear they either don’t get it or they don’t care, or both. It appears they will continue on their course of destruction all the way through the November congressional elections. My hope is that there will be enough Democrat Senators smart enought to understand what is happening and have the courage to vote against the Obama/Pelosi/Reed agenda.
Today was a good day for America. THANK YOU MASSACHUSETTS!
Obamacare: The Social Security Fix
Posted by: | CommentsI’m writing this to go on record concerning this subject. In a few years when what I am going to predict is beginning to happen, I can point to this post and say: “I told you so!” That is, if I’m still alive. If Obamacare becomes law it will be the method by which the bankrupt social security system will be fixed. How is this you ask?
The impending doom for Social Security is found in the huge numbers of baby boomers who will go on Social Security/Medicare over the next 5 to 25 years. Because the abortion-on-demand movement has murdered over 50,000,000 babies since 1973, we are missing 1.5 generations of Americans who should be working and paying taxes, particularly FICA employment taxes. When the boomers retire there will not be enough people paying FICA taxes to support their Social Security payments. Big problem.
There are only two solutions to fix this potential disaster. The first is to drastically raise FICA taxes on the working population. The second is to reduce the number of people drawing Social Security checks. I predict that the people paying the FICA taxes will prefer the second method. I also believe Obamacare will provide the means to accomplish the reduction in the number of people receiving social security. How? It’s very simple: Administrative Volutary Euthenasia!
When Obamacare is in effect, the Government is going to gradually decide who deserves certain kinds of care. A 70 year old person suffering cancer will be provided hospice care, rather than expensive Chemotherapy. As the aged get sick, they will be thinned out by being denied the expensive care and treatment that might help them live a few more years. Instead they will be offered Administrative Voluntary Euthenasia. This will be Dr. Kervorkian on steroids, from coast to coast!
I am 67 as of this post. I fully expect the day to come when I am going to get sick with something and the government is going to disapprove the treatment I need based on my age and the expense of the treatment. Obamacare will prohibit me from buying it out of my own pocket and the government will help me exit this world as painlessly as possible. When you multiply this scenario millions of times it won’t be long until the Social Security recipients are drastically reduced. The result will be a ‘fix’ for Social Security.
Call me a conspiracy nut if you like, but I believe this is inevitable if Obama and the Democrats have their way.
The Solution for Global Warming
Posted by: | CommentsDear Jim Bob,
My name is Carl Clifton. I live in DeeLilly, Arkansas and I think I know how to fix the global warming problem. I’ve sent you a short video in which I outline my plan. Jim Bob, would you look at it and tell me if you think my plan will work?

Dear Carl,
I watched your video and I think your plan is just great! I don’t know why this hasn’t been discovered before now. It’s just so simple. I’m posting your video below so others can see what you suggest.

Send In The UN!
Posted by: | CommentsDear Jim Bob,
I just heard that the United Nations is going to investigate what they describe as the US Housing Crisis. What’s this about Jim Bob?
Curious in Cleveland
Dear Curious,
I looked into this and discovered you are correct! Evidently the UN (located in New York City) is dispatching a person they identified as Raquel Rolnik, the “UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing” to investigate the housing situation in New York City and other American cities.
I learned that Ms. Rolnik is an architect from Brazil and made her name there as an Urban Planner. I am sharing a video at the end of this post wherein Ms Rolnik expresses her opinion that affordable housing is a right. When you see Ms. Rolnik all of this will become very clear to you.
I also learned that one of the groups helping Ms. Rolnik with her NYC investigation is an outfit called FUREE (Families United For Racial and Economic Equality). If you’ve never heard of FUREE, just think of them as a little ACORN. One of the main concerns of FUREE is combating something called “gentrification.” Now, what is gentrification you ask? I’ll make it easy for you. Have you ever seen a slum area that is blighted, riddled with crime and generally unsafe? Then, have you ever seen a bunch of business people come in and buy up all that dangerous real estate and clean up the area? They tear down the worst, repair the salvagable parts and make the area nice and safe -- to the extent that people who actually work move back into the area and it once again becomes a thriving community.
We used to call this process Urban Renewal and it was considered a good thing. Today, it is called “gentrification” and is considered evil! Why? Because when an area undergoes ‘gentrification’ property values go up and rents increase. The destitute, unemployed people who formerly lived in the area can no longer afford to live there and are displaced.
Since the UN Special Rapporteur, Ms. Rolnik considers affordable housing a “right”, and is being led around by the FUREE group, we will no doubt hear more about this in the days ahead. The big question is this: What will the UN do when it finishes their investigation? My guess is that they will send a big report to President Obama and his ACORN roots/genes will come to life in sympathy. A logical Obama solution will be to introduce some good legislation that will force developers and others who produce “gentrification” to rent their properties at depressed rates to accomodate the rights of the displaced.
HEY! Isn’t this the same approach that caused the home loan mortgage crisis that tanked our economy? I just love liberals, don’t you?

The Difference Between Liberals and Conservatives
Posted by: | CommentsDear Jim Bob,
When I ask people about the difference between liberals and conservatives I get a lot of different answers. What’s the best way to understand this Jim Bob?
Interested in Iowa
Dear Interested,
I think the best way to understand the difference between liberals and conservatives is to take a look at their behavior. After all, behavior is the result of what we think and what we think is driven by what we believe. So, if you can simply describe what liberals do and what conservatives do it might help you understand what separates them. Here is what I’ve observed over the years.
WHAT LIBERALS DO: Liberals usually create problems where they don’t really exist. They are always trying to fix stuff that isn’t really broken. Even if something is slightly broken, their approach is to throw the whole thing out and start over with something that always involves the government doing it. It gets even more complicated when you understand that liberals will decide something SHOULD be broken even if it isn’t and try to fix that too. The Global Warming Hoax is like that. Finally, liberals rarely, if ever, trust fixing things to individuals, because they want the government to do it through taxes and more regulation. Why liberals do this is another subject.
Now, it’s important to understand that for something to be broken in the mind of a liberal, all that needs to exist is an opinion that its broken. Liberals are rarely restrained by actual facts. What they do is assemble a lot of anecdotal information and portray it as a dominant trend. They also twist facts to fit the agenda they have created to fix whatever they believe is broken. Our current health care controversy is a perfect example of how liberals operate. American health care has some problems and they are very specific problems. The liberal approach is to completely replace the entire system with a government controlled environment.
WHAT CONSERVATIVES DO: Conservatives do not try to fix things that are not broken. When something is actually broken or looks like it might become broken, a true conservative first examines the extent of the problem based on the actual reality and facts of the situation. Then, a conservative will create solutions that deal with the actual problem. Conservatives will always try to preserve the best parts of whatever they are trying to fix. Conservatives strive for improvement, not destruction. A conservative will never throw the baby out with the bath water.
So, that is basic difference between liberals and conservatives, as I see it. Hope that helps.
The Plight of the Transgendered
Posted by: | CommentsDear Jim Bob,
I just read that November 20 is called “Transgender Remembrance Day” and there is a movement to get this day promoted in schools. What’s this about Jim Bob?
Sam in California
Dear Sam,
This is going to be hard to explain, but its another example of a small group of folks trying to make a minor problem a big deal. Transgender Remembrance Day was organized about 10 years ago by a lesbian who had a friend murdered. Evidently, the founder thought the slaughter of the transgendered was an epidemic of some kind. So, the Transgender Remembrance Day got started. All kinds of gay and lesbian groups got on board for this “day”. They seem to believe transgendered people are on the verge of a holocaust!
The statistics on how many transgendered folks are being murdered each year is a bit sketchy. The people who believe this day is necessary quote a statistic that claims one person a month in the US is being murdered because they are a transgendered person. Hmmm. This means about 12 Transgendered folks a year are being rubbed out by someone. Since the total homicides in the US approach 20,000, this hardly seems to be a thriving category. It is also a stretch to say the person was murdered because they were a transgendered person. I would think it is more in the category of a politically motivated assumption to support another left-wing cause. This is kind of like gay global warming.
For your continuing education on this subject, please take a peek at the following video of a young person extolling the virtue of Transgender Remembrance Day. Please understand the person on the video is not really a woman. It is a man, who is trying to “transition” himself into a woman. This person has other videos on display at UTube lamenting the difficulties of his “transition”.

What Can be Done About Congress?
Posted by: | CommentsDear Jim Bob,
There’s a lot of things going on in America that drive me nuts, but my biggest beef is with the United States Congress. It seems these people are from a different planet. They don’t understand what it means to be an American and they pass legislation like a bunch of drunks at an endless party. Is there anything that can be done to fix that place Jim Bob?
Going Bonkers in Yonkers
Dear Bonkers,
Actually, the solution to this is very simple. Only two new laws need to be passed and the entire mess would be fixed in nothing flat. Here are the two laws that are needed:
1. The Congressional Reform Act: This law would require that Congress Persons must live under all the laws they pass for the rest of us. There would be no congressional exemptions for any legislation passed by Congress. This would eliminate their windfall retirement plan (100% of full pay for life and fully covered healthcare) and require them to retire under Social Security and Medicare like the rest of us. Included in this law should be other rules for what they can do with left-over campaign contributions (which can be millions of dollars). This money should go into the general treasury to be applied to the deficits Congress creates.
2. The Congressional Term Limits Act: This law would limit Congressional term limits to no more than ten years. This law alone would do more to fix the place that just about anything else. This new law coupled with the Reform Act, described above, would make them accountable where it matters: In their own pocket books!
So, Bonkers this is not a complicated issue. It’s very simple. The only problem is that the laws must be passed by the very same group that needs reform. Only a huge grassroots demand for this kind of legislation would give it a chance of passing. Personally, if a person running for President made these two laws a key piece of their campaign strategy they would attract a huge public following and support for their proposal.
