About This Blog

My friends call me Jim Bob.

I was born in 1942 and much has changed in America during my life.  One of the most damaging changes has been the wholesale departure of common sense.  What is common sense?  I think it is largely practical wisdom acquired by learning to live life on life’s terms.  I also think it is a byproduct of a decent education coupled with lessons learned about taking personal responsibility for one’s own circumstances.  These lessons are character builders and we acquire common sense as we walk through success and failure.

When common sense collides with liberal politics there is frequently a brief flash of light that temporarily illuminates a little piece of reality and truth.  Typically this brief illumination is quickly ignored by an identifiable group of smarmy politicians and their media partners whose agendas are threatened by it.

It is fairly obvious that a significant percentage of the American population has become “educationally challenged” and that personal responsibility is a diminishing characteristic of traditional American values.  Therefore, it is not surprising that common sense is a shrinking commodity in our culture.

The prevailing trend toward mass ignorance is the greatest threat that exists to our liberty.  If you feel progressively less free, I urge you to consider that ignorance, apathy, and the absence of common sense is a major cause.  The liberal media fosters and contributes to it.  Politicians reap its tainted fruit at the ballot box and exploit it as they gourge themselves at the public trough.  Everyone else withers under its burden.

This pupose of this blog is to encourage the collision of common sense and liberal politics.

Sincerely,
loads-of-love

This website is a joke, right? There’s no way someone with this serious lack of common sense claims to have so much of it. Sorry buddy, you can’t be a partisan and a common sense-minded person at the same time. And you DEFINITELY can’t be an extremist and a common sense-minded person. And by the way, you’re born with common sense, (or without in your case) it’s definitely not learned, idiot. To blame all of a nation’s problems on one party is just ridiculous. Laugh out loud ridiculous. By the way I’m not a liberal, I’m quite conservative and even I think your extremism is hilarious. And if this website IS a joke then it’s quite a good one.

Hmmm. I guess it is what it is. You seem inflamed and Jim Bob suggests you lighten up a bit. It will help your arteries.
