What Can We Expect Now?

by jimbob

Dear Jim Bob,

Well, Obama got elected Jim Bob! Lot’s of folks seem to be excited and enthused about what he’s gonna do. I was watching him give his victory speech and the TV cameras kept showing all the teary eyed people with rapturous expressions on their faces out in the crowd.  I even saw Oprah out there bawling. What can we actually expect to happen Jim Bob? What is it they think he’s going to do that makes them so happy?

Dear Parmella,

What he is going to do and what people think he is going to do are two different things.  America has just elected a man who is committed to producing “fundamental change” in America.  For those who made an effort to really understand what Mr. Obama means by fundamental change it’s pretty obvious what he will try to do.  Here’s a short list of the most significant things he has actually admitted to:

1.      He will lead the way for a massive “global warming tax system” that will place a huge competitive burden on our economy.

2.      He will impose an income tax burden guaranteed to stifle personal initiative and de-motivate people who actually produce value in the economy.  The result will be economic stagnation, unemployment and other serous problems.  Government tax revenues will actually shrink and the perceived solution will be to impose even higher taxes.

3.      American sovereignty and our strategic interests will be surrendered in the name of improving our international relationships.    The United Nations will become our global political master.

4.      The greatest medical/healthcare system in the world will be shifted toward a government takeover.

5.      Unions will be given the power to terrorize American businesses and employees.

6.      The Constitution will become a document to be undermined by judicial tyranny.

There’s probably a lot more, but these items are probably enough to do us in.

Love,
